Naval Undersea Warfare Center will be conducting continued testing using surface and subsurface devices north and east of Gould Island in the vicinity of the torpedo test range restricted area marked on NOAA Chart 13223 and the Newport Bridge Monday – Friday from September 2021 through 2022. Mariners are requested to cooperate with participating vessels for the safety of all. Any concerned traffic can contact Navy support craft on VHF channels 13 and 16.

NOAA is Discontinuing the Printed Tide Tables and Tidal Current Tables.
NOAA is ending the production of the printed Tide Tables and Tidal Current Tables publications. The 2020 Tide Tables and Tidal Current Tables were the final printed editions.
There will not be NOAA printed Tide Tables and Tidal Current Tables publications for 2021.
NOAA is discontinuing the production of these annual publications due to: (a) recent changes by the U.S. Coast Guard in the interpretation of the requirements for predictions, no longer requiring these publications in paper format and (b) the availability of online and electronic services providing tide and tidal current predictions which meet the U.S. Coast Guard requirements for navigation, and support other activities along the U.S. coast.

Shoaling has been reported in the Kickamuit River in the vicinity of Kickamuit River Buoy 2. Mariners are advised to proceed with caution while transiting the area.
