On Wednesday, March 3 at 6 p.m. (EST), TV commentators Ken Read and Shirley Robertson will join Sail Newport live from New Zealand for the free online event, “36th America’s Cup Match Preview.”

Racing in New Zealand previously scheduled for March 6 and 7 has been postponed to at least March 10 (which is March 9, appx. 10 p.m. (EST)) due to the COVID-19 lockdown enacted in Auckland on February 28. 

When racing begins, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will face Defender Emirates Team New Zealand in the challenge to win the oldest trophy in international sport.

Brad Read will moderate the event to talk about what it will take for either the Kiwis or the Italians to prevail. Will the Auld Mug stay in New Zealand or be taken to Italy?

If this is anything like the recent online event, when over a thousand participants tuned in from around the world,  this hour with Ken and Shirley will include updates, observations, stories, news and expert analysis on how these two teams got to this pinnacle of sailboat match racing, and what it will take to win.
